Technology Changing the Face of Missing Children

National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, among others, is changing the 'face' of how missing person or child cases are handled, and how they are being solved faster with the help of technology and society.

The ability of this organization to generate an uncanny projection of what someone, like Jaycee Dugard, might look like now is fascinating to me. A friend of mine recently took a position working in a very similar field and I ask questions endlessly, wondering about all of the possibilities that this technology can be used for.

In most cases, it is called Virtual Face Ageing and was developed by forensic scientists and social technologists. In many cases, it has been the key to finding a missing person or child, and saving his or her life.
